Volunteer Remotely
Our pioneering Correspondence Program allows incarcerated participants to complete Growthwork (what we call homework) which is mailed to our headquarters.
Trained volunteers then read and respond empathetically and positively to their work. This level of individualized feedback is the first of its kind among educational projects for incarcerated individuals.
The entire process takes place online, including a Zoom gathering once a month on a Saturday from 9:30am-3:30pm. We join with a collective intention to provide meaningful and heartfelt feedback on the assignments from the participants. You can also read “growthwork” between meetings at your own pace.
No experience is needed. We will provide all the training you need.
WHAT’S REQUIRED?
• An open heart and willingness to serve
• A laptop or desktop computer with WiFi
• Access to Google Drive and a Gmail account
• A commitment to review “growthwork” 6 hours on a Saturday once a month or you can go at your own pace.
