It’s Time to Chill…And Pass The Coleslaw!

We had sooooo much fun at our first Summer Social last year. 💜

It was such a gift to be able to hang out with some of our favorite people in a beautiful environment with plenty of time to talk, laugh, and share a meal together. So much fun that we’ve decided to make this an annual get together.

We are excited to invite you to our second FTC Summer Social and Potluck!

This event is open to everyone: longtime FTC supporters, those new to our community, near or far, and anyone who has been curious about the work we do. Invite your friends, family, and colleagues–the more the merrier!

What to bring, not required but encouraged (Besides Your Wonderful Self):

  • “Ready to eat” favorite or signature dishes to share Potluck Sign Up.
  • Picnic & party essentials: lawn chairs, tables, blankets, coolers, shade, etc.
  • Your favorite games/activities. We’ll have some games planned, but bring your favorites too and show the community how YOU love to bring in the summer!
  • Friends & family who carry the authentic, warm, and loving hearts we all do.
  • Water squirters for those who want to get wet—prepare for fun in the sun! Please NO RUBBER WATER BALLOONS.
  • Sun protection and reusable water bottles.

After all our impactful work as a community—facilitating workshops, volunteering, donating, and finding us if you’re new—we all deserve a day to meet one another, laugh under the sun, share stories over yummy and nutritious food, and strengthen the bonds that guide our mission. No agendas, no objectives, no asks—come just for the pure, joyful connection.

Let’s build a “One Accord” of love and fun in the most warm and joyful way possible—with food, laughter, and community. We’ve accomplished a lot. It’s time to chill…and pass the coleslaw!

  • Are substances allowed?
    This is a sober and no mind-altering substance event. We’re creating joy naturally!
  • Who can attend?
    Everyone! Is this your first time participating with us? Welcome to the FTC family and be sure to invite friends who believe in transformation!
  • How do I sign up for the potluck?
    Add your dish to our [Potluck Sign Up]. Store-bought, homemade, or even just utensils—we welcome all contributions.
  • Is there a cost?
    No—this is our thank-you to the community. Your presence is the only gift we need.
  • Is the park accessible?
    Yes! Douglas Park offers:

  • Can I bring my pet?
    Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please review the park’s pet policy beforehand.
  • What should I bring if I don’t want to cook before?
    Packaged food, paper goods, drinks, or just yourself! We’ll have extra plates and smiles to share.
  • What’s the rain plan?
    Check your email by 9AM on July 18th for weather updates. (We’ll reschedule if needed!)
  • Where exactly will you be?
    Look for FTC signs and purple balloons near the picnic tables.
  • Can I volunteer?
