Join our next Volunteer Training: May 1-2!

We are pleased to announce the newest addition to our Board of Directors: Stephen Leland Keelm, JD, MBA. He comes to the Freedom to Choose Project with a rich background in nonprofit administration, financial management, and a long-standing commitment to social justice, personal development, and service. 

He is an Oxford University and Ivy-league educated JD, MBA, with degrees from Dartmouth College and Cornell University. His professional background includes financial management of a high-profile law firm in Beverly Hills and serving for nearly a decade as Assistant Director of an international, multicultural nonprofit and non-governmental organization (NGO) with consultative status in ECOSOC, the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council.

Leland’s scholarship includes research on recidivism among those with mental illness, as well as political philosophy, comparative government, international affairs, ethics, and philosophy.

Beyond his remarkable educational and professional accomplishments, Leland brings a genuine passion for community development and transformative change
