Between holiday parties, shopping, and travels, December’s often the fullest month of the year.
Here in the world of nonprofits, it’s also the month when we focus on gathering year-end donations. This year, #GivingTuesday also falls on December 3…hey, wait. That’s THIS TUESDAY!
We hope you’ll join us in making #GivingTuesday our biggest donation day of the year.
Last year we raised just over $18,000 on this day. This year, since we’re needing to double our operating budget for 2020, we’d love your help in at least doubling this amount– to $40– this coming Tuesday!
To help with this, please donate as generously as you can here. (And please also share that link with your networks and communities as generously as you can!)
We’ll touch in with you again about this in a couple of days. For now, here’s a little something to savor this weekend: Tales of Freedom #3 with a new FTC volunteer, Ana Zepeda.
Tales of Freedom #3:
How Volunteering Healed Her Rage with Ana Zepeda
In this third “Tale of Freedom,” a new FTC volunteer, Ana Zepeda, shares how volunteering at a recent prison project helped her to heal the grief, rage, and resentment that plagued her following the murder of her 3-month-old son. Listen in to be inspired by not only the human spirit’s capacity to renew itself, but also by the power that selfless service has to heal our deepest wounds.
(Pssst! if you haven’t yet joined our FTC Street Team to help us spread the word, please do so here now!)
These “Tales of Freedom” are one of the ways that we’re celebrating our 15-year anniversary, as well as our annual fundraising campaign.
It’s your financial support that enables us to continue to do this work!
